Product Description

3M Neoprene High Performance Rubber and Gasket Adhesive 1300 is a one-part, solvent-based polychloroprene contact adhesive for bonding rubber and gasket materials. It bonds neoprene, reclaimed rubber, SBR, and butyl rubber to metal, wood, and selected plastics. The adhesive reaches a dry-to-touch condition in about four minutes and provides a bonding range up to 12 minutes, allowing positioning before contact assembly. Brush, flow, or spray application can be used for general MRO, rubber gasket attachment, rubber sheeting, and rubber repair; the product is not recommended for EPDM or TPO. Available supply formats include tubes, cans, and bulk packages.

Key features

  • Fast dry-to-touch: A thin uniform coating reaches a dry-to-touch condition in about four minutes.
  • Up to 12-minute bonding: The contact adhesive provides positioning time within a bonding range up to 12 minutes.
  • Defined rubber bonding: The adhesive bonds neoprene, reclaimed rubber, SBR, and butyl to metal, wood, and selected plastics.

Applications

Applications include general MRO, bonding rubber gaskets to metal, attaching rubber to rigid substrates, large-area rubber sheeting, and rubber repair. Do not apply to EPDM or TPO.
