Product Description
3M Polishing Film 598X, 0.5 Micron, Cerium Oxide is a precision polishing film with a 0.5 micron cerium oxide abrasive coating on a polyester film backing for controlled fiber-optic connector finishing. The fine abrasive grade is intended for final polishing steps where surface finish is refined after earlier material-removal stages. Its film construction provides a defined abrasive carrier that can be integrated into established connector-polishing sequences. The product is used for MT and other fiber-optic ferrules and for epoxy-removal or final-finish steps where those operations are part of the specified polishing process.
