Product Description
3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive EC-3542 B/A FR is a light-gray, low-density, flame-retardant two-part epoxy for structural bonding of prepared metals and composites and for insert bonding in aircraft-interior assemblies. The 100% solids, thixotropic mixture uses a 100:50 volume ratio and provides approximately 30 minutes of work life at 22 deg C. Its non-sag consistency controls placement around inserts and vertical bondlines. After cure, the adhesive reaches 50 MPa compressive strength at 24 deg C and 2036 psi aluminum overlap shear with the specified room-temperature and heat-cure schedule.
