ALPHA 425
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses

Main features
- Controlled Flux Property Restoration
- Specific-Gravity Maintenance Support
- Long-Interval Process Inventory
Product Description
ALPHA 425 Thinner is a clear, colorless liquid flux thinner used to restore the working condition of compatible ALPHA liquid fluxes after solvent evaporation. It is added in controlled increments until the specified specific gravity or acid number is reached, helping maintain the intended solids balance during production. The liquid has a typical specific gravity of 0.783 +/- 0.005 at 25 deg C and a flash point of 13 deg C. It is a process-control solvent blend rather than a soldering flux and should be used only with fluxes identified as compatible.
Key features
- Specific-gravity restoration: Controlled additions return compatible liquid fluxes to their specified working range after evaporation.
- Acid-number process control: The thinner can restore the specified acid number where that control method applies to the compatible flux.
- Long storage interval: A 1,080-day shelf life supports planned inventory for recurring flux-maintenance operations.
Applications
Applications include maintaining or restoring compatible ALPHA liquid fluxes to the specified specific-gravity or acid-number range.
