Main features

  • 20-Minute Working Window
  • High-Strength Structural Bonding
  • Broad Substrate Range

Product Description

ARALDITE 2012 is a rapid-curing, two-component epoxy adhesive for structural and multipurpose bonding at room temperature. The high-viscosity system mixes 1:1 by weight or volume and provides a four-minute pot life for fast assembly work. It develops high shear and peel strength with a tough, resilient cured bond and is suitable for joining metals, ceramics, glass, rubbers, rigid plastics, and other common materials. Application guidance recommends clean, dry, properly prepared surfaces, a 0.05–0.10 mm adhesive layer, prompt assembly, and even contact pressure. At 23°C, typical lap shear strength exceeds 1 N/mm² after 20 minutes and 10 N/mm² after 61 minutes under the stated test method.

Key features

  • Rapid strength development: Four-minute pot life with typical lap shear strength above 1 N/mm² after 20 minutes at 23°C.
  • Tough structural bond: Documented high shear and peel strength with a tough, resilient cured adhesive.
  • Multi-material bonding: Suitable for metals, ceramics, glass, rubbers, rigid plastics, and other commonly used materials.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Metal-to-metal assembly and repair bonding
  • Glass and ceramic component bonding
  • Rubber and rigid-plastic bonding in industrial and workshop applications
