Product Description
DOWSIL™ 1-2577 Conformal Coating is a one-part, translucent silicone conformal coating designed to provide durable mechanical and environmental protection for electronic components and printed circuit board assemblies. This solvent-borne resin cures at room temperature through atmospheric moisture, forming a tough, elastoplastic, and abrasion-resistant surface that enhances long-term reliability in demanding environments. A built-in UV indicator allows for easy inspection and automated quality control during production.
DOWSIL 1-2577 features a medium viscosity formulation and can be applied by spray, brush, dip, flow, or automated selective coating systems. The coating enables flexible processing with optional mild heat acceleration to support faster in-line manufacturing. It delivers excellent adhesion to a wide range of PCB substrates, including low-residue and lead-free solder systems, and meets key industry standards including IPC-CC-830, UL746E, and MIL-I-46058C with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
