DOWSIL 6-1104 CV SILICONE SEALANT

Main features

  • Low-Outgassing Vacuum Sealing
  • 610% Cured Elongation
  • One-Part Moisture-Cure Sealing

Product Description

DOWSIL™ 6-1104 CV Sealant is a one-part, nonflow, translucent moisture-cure RTV silicone sealant for sealing and bonding applications on space hardware. Its low level of volatile condensable materials supports use in high-vacuum environments, while 610% typical elongation provides flexibility for stress-relieving joints. The cured silicone also combines electrical insulation properties with a thermal conductivity of 0.2 W/m·K, making it suitable for aerospace and space-hardware assemblies requiring a flexible sealing or bonding material.

Key features

  • Low volatile condensable content: Supports sealing and bonding applications in high-vacuum space environments.
  • High elongation: Provides 610% typical elongation for flexible joints and stress relief after cure.
  • Nonflow, one-part formulation: Enables application to localized sealing and bonding areas without component mixing.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Sealing on space hardware
  • Bonding on space hardware
  • High-vacuum aerospace assemblies requiring a low-volatility silicone sealant
