- 150 deg C Minimum Cure Temperature
- 1,626 V/mil Dielectric Strength
Product Description
DOWSIL™ RSN-0996 Resin is a clear-blue silicone resin in xylene used as a general-purpose impregnating varnish for motors, coils, and transformers. The varnish is documented for cure temperatures as low as 150°C and for long service at a 220°C hottest-spot temperature. It combines electrical properties, bond strength, moisture resistance, and a drainage profile intended to limit runoff during cure. Typical published data identify a relative density of 1.00 to 1.02 and dielectric strength of 1,626 V/mil, while the exact current technical data sheet should be confirmed before publication.
Key features
- General-purpose impregnating varnish: The silicone resin is documented for motors, coils, and transformers.
