Product Description

LOCTITE ECCOBOND F 112 MINIPAX is a dark-blue, two-component epoxy adhesive formulated for fiber optic assembly, including multimode and single-mode connectors, as well as small potting and sealing applications. The 100:30 resin-to-hardener weight ratio produces a low-viscosity mixed adhesive with a typical viscosity of 1,800 mPa·s at 25°C. A 2 g mix provides a 30-minute pot life and a 1-hour work life. The adhesive can be cured at room temperature or with accelerated heat schedules and develops sufficient cure for connector polishing after 15 minutes at 65°C. The cured material has a documented operating-temperature range of -60 to 120°C.

Key features

  • Low mixed viscosity: Typical viscosity of 1,800 mPa·s at 25°C supports application in compact fiber optic assemblies.
  • Flexible cure schedules: Cure options include 24 hours at 25°C, 1 hour at 65°C, or 15 minutes at 90°C.
  • Low-stress connector bonding: Documented thermal-shock and impact resistance with low-stress connections and no pistoning.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Multimode fiber optic connector assembly
  • Single-mode fiber optic connector assembly
  • Small potting and sealing applications
