LAIRD ECCOSORB GDS
Harmonization Code : 3215907090 | Ink, whether or not concentrated or solid (excl. printing ink, printer/copier ink cartridges incorporating mechanical or electrical components, and solid ink in engineered shapes for printers/copiers)

Main features
- Thin Conformable Construction
- High-Frequency RF Attenuation
Product Description
LAIRD Eccosorb GDS is a thin, flexible, magnetically loaded silicone rubber sheet for microwave absorption at frequencies of 18 GHz and above. The electrically non-conductive material is designed to function directly in front of metallic surfaces, where it can damp cavity resonances, reduce metal-surface reflectivity, and support isolation or attenuation within antenna and waveguide structures. Its silicone construction is impervious to moisture, withstands service temperatures up to 170 °C, and exhibits low outgassing for space-related applications. Standard material is supplied as a 305 × 305 × 0.76 mm sheet, with pressure-sensitive adhesive and custom configurations available.
Key features
- High-frequency microwave absorption: Designed for operation at frequencies of 18 GHz and above.
- Electrically non-conductive silicone: Volume resistivity greater than 1011 ohm-cm, combined with a flexible, moisture-impervious construction.
- Low-outgassing, high-temperature performance: Reports 0.2% TML and 0.08% CVCM per ASTM E595-07, with a maximum service temperature of 170 °C.
Applications / Suitable for
- Microwave cavity resonance damping
- Antenna elements and microwave dishes
- Waveguide isolation and attenuation
- Metal-surface reflectivity reduction
- Backscatter reduction from selected side or rear surfaces
