Main features
- Elastomer-Toughened Impact Resistance
- Low-Viscosity Thin-Gap Bonding
- Fast Multi-Substrate Fixturing
Product Description
LOCTITE 4210 is a black, low-viscosity, elastomer-toughened ethyl cyanoacrylate instant adhesive for bonding metals, plastics, and rubbers. The one-part liquid cures with atmospheric moisture and requires no mixing. Its toughened formulation adds impact and peel strength while improving resistance to heat and humidity. A Brookfield viscosity of 110 to 210 mPa s supports controlled flow into thin bond areas, and fixture time ranges from seconds to several minutes depending on substrate. The adhesive performs best in bond gaps around 0.05 mm and develops full chemical and solvent resistance after at least 24 hours.
Key features
- Elastomer-toughened performance: The formulation adds impact and peel strength with improved heat and humidity resistance.
- Low-viscosity one-part flow: A 110 to 210 mPa s viscosity supports controlled application in thin bond areas without mixing.
- Substrate-dependent rapid fixture: Documented fixture times range from 5 seconds on nitrile rubber to 150 seconds on degreased steel.
Applications / Suitable for
- Thin-gap bonding of metals
- Bonding supported plastics and rubbers
- Assemblies requiring improved peel, impact, heat, or humidity resistance
