LOCTITE 5045
Harmonization Code : 3208.20.90 | Paints and varnishes that are dispersed or dissolved in a non aqueous medium

Main features
- Non-Slumping RTV Application
- Flexible Shock-Absorbing Silicone
- Strain-Relief Component Reinforcement
Product Description
LOCTITE SI 5045 is a translucent, non-slumping, one-component alkoxy RTV silicone paste for bonding, sealing, and coating components. It cures at room temperature through atmospheric moisture and requires no mixing. The paste format supports reinforcement and strain relief around delicate parts while limiting flow away from the applied area. The cured silicone combines low Shore A hardness, high elongation, and measured tensile and tear properties for a flexible final state. It resists weathering, moisture, and ozone and is used in industrial, military, and automotive assemblies within its stated application and temperature limits.
Key features
- Non-slumping RTV placement: The paste remains positioned for bonding, sealing, coating, and reinforcement around components.
- Flexible strain-relief material: A Shore A hardness of 25 and 500% elongation support a compliant cured silicone state.
- Environmental silicone resistance: The cured material is documented for weathering, moisture, and ozone exposure within its application scope.
Applications / Suitable for
- Bonding, sealing, and coating components
- Strain relief and reinforcement of delicate parts
- Industrial, military, and automotive component assemblies
