Product Description
MOLYKOTE® 106 Anti-Friction Coating is a heat-curing, solvent-based dry film lubricant containing solid lubricants such as molybdenum disulfide and graphite dispersed in an organic binder. Formulated as a dark gray liquid, it cures to provide maintenance-free, permanent dry lubrication for metal-to-metal combinations. It is ideal for highly stressed friction combinations involving slow speeds or oscillating movements, especially where traditional oils and greases are unsuitable or where the risk of soiling must be avoided.
Key features
- High load-carrying capacity: Withstands extreme contact pressures, exhibiting a Falex load capacity of 14,500 N on phosphatized surfaces.
- Low coefficient of friction: Delivers excellent wear protection and low friction without the use of intentional polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
- Extreme temperature resistance: Maintains reliable dry lubrication across a broad service temperature range from -70°C to 250°C.
