Product Description
MOLYKOTE® 112 High Consistency Valve Sealant is a stiff, nonmelting silicone grease used primarily as a robust valve lubricant and sealant. Formulated with polydimethyl silicone fluids and an inert amorphous silica filler, it is designed for demanding environments that require a high degree of mechanical stability. It maintains its consistency without carbonizing, melting, or hardening during prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures up to 232°C (450°F).
Key features
- Extreme temperature stability: Serviceable from -40°C to 232°C (-40°F to 450°F) without melting, hardening, or carbonizing.
- Harsh environment resistance: Highly resistant to water, most aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, dilute acids, alkalis, and many organic compounds.
- Low volatility: Features very low vapor pressure, making it an excellent sealer for high vacuum or pressure systems.
Applications / Suitable for
- Lubricating valves, O-rings, and plug-valves in chemical processing
- Sealing synthetic rubber or plastic parts in vacuum and pressure systems
