Product Description
MOLYKOTE® D-321 R Anti-Friction Coating is an air-curing dry-film lubricant available in both bulk liquid and aerosolized spray forms. Formulated with solid lubricants such as molybdenum disulfide and graphite within a solvent and binder system, it provides a gray-black, stick-slip-free coating for metal-to-metal combinations subjected to slow to medium-fast movements and high loads. It cures entirely at room temperature, making it ideal for improving the running-in process and permanently lubricating components like plain bearings, guides, and threaded connections.
Key features
- Extreme temperature and environment stability: Maintains robust lubrication across a massive service temperature range of -180°C to 450°C and performs exceptionally well even under high vacuum conditions.
- High load-carrying capacity: Delivers outstanding extreme-pressure protection, with a Falex load-carrying capacity of up to 12,500 N on phosphated surfaces.
- Convenient air-drying: Becomes touch-dry in just 5 minutes at 23°C and fully cures in 2 hours without the need for high-heat baking.
- Clean formulation: Features high aging resistance and is formulated without intentional polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Applications / Suitable for
- Lubrication of plain bearings, bushings, sleeves, and power screw drives
- High voltage switches, slides, guides, and tracks operating at extreme temperatures or in vacuum
- Emergency boundary lubrication, chains, and hard-to-reach surfaces using the aerosol spray
