MOLYKOTE G-N METAL ASSEMBLY PASTE
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses

Main features
- Heavy-Duty Assembly Paste
- 0.08 Coefficient of Friction
- Metal Interfaces Protection
Product Description
MOLYKOTE® G-N Metal Assembly Paste is a multipurpose, heavy-duty lubricating paste containing molybdenum disulfide and white solid lubricants dispersed in mineral oil. Developed for metal surfaces subjected to extreme pressure and boundary-lubrication conditions, it provides a low coefficient of friction and helps reduce wear, galling, seizing and surface damage during assembly, running-in and maintenance. The paste also helps protect metal interfaces against fretting wear, corrosion and cold welding. It can be applied as a thin film to clean surfaces by burnishing with a lint-free cloth or brushing with short, stiff bristles.
Key features
- Extreme-pressure lubrication: Lubricates metal surfaces under high-load and boundary-lubrication conditions, with a typical four-ball weld load of 499 kg (1,100 lb).
- Low-friction performance: Provides a typical coefficient of friction of 0.08 in the CTM 0394 LFW-4 press-fit test.
- Metal interface protection: Helps reduce galling, seizing, fretting wear, corrosion and cold welding during assembly, running-in and maintenance.
Applications / Suitable for
- Running-in lubrication of gears, splines, journal bearings, cams and ways
- Assembly and disassembly of threaded fasteners
- Press fitting and interference fitting of metal components
- Bearing shafts, bushings and splines exposed to fretting or cold welding
- Metalworking operations including machining, stamping, drawing, tube bending, thread rolling, cold heading, swaging and forging
