Main features
- 5 to 20-Second Fixture Time
- Low-Viscosity Single-Component Adhesive
- Hard-to-Bond Plastic and Rubber Bonding
Product Description
PERMABOND® 105 Cyanoacrylate Adhesive is a single-component, low-viscosity, high-purity ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive developed for rapid bonding of hard-to-bond plastics and rubbers. Surface moisture initiates polymerization when the adhesive is pressed into a thin film between closely fitted parts. The colorless, 100% reactive formulation requires no mixing or heat cure and provides fixture or handling times of 5–20 seconds on documented substrates. Supported materials include natural rubber, Buna N rubber, EPDM, butyl rubber, ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, phenolic materials, and metals.
Key features
- Rapid fixture performance: Typical fixture or handling times range from 5–20 seconds on documented rubber, plastic, phenolic, and steel substrates.
- Low-viscosity application: A typical viscosity of 30–50 mPa·s at 25°C supports application into closely fitted joints with a maximum documented gap fill of 0.1 mm.
- Single-component formulation: The 100% reactive ethyl cyanoacrylate system requires no mixing, solvent evaporation, or heat cure.
Applications / Suitable for
- Bonding natural and synthetic rubbers, including Buna N, EPDM, and butyl rubber
- Bonding hard-to-bond plastic components
- Bonding ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, and phenolic materials
- Rapid assembly of closely fitted parts
