Product Description
PERMABOND® 130UV Light Cure Cyanoacrylate Adhesive is a low-viscosity, solvent-free, dual-cure adhesive designed for rapid bonding of metals and plastics. It combines conventional moisture-initiated cyanoacrylate curing with UV-light curing, allowing exposed adhesive fillets to become tack-free in seconds while small shadowed areas continue to cure through ambient moisture. The adhesive is yellow before cure and becomes clear in a thin bondline. At 25 °C, its 200 mPa·s viscosity supports controlled dispensing, accurate alignment, and automated application. Depending on the substrate, moisture-cure fixture times range from approximately 3 to 80 seconds, while UV exposure at 405 nm can produce a tack-free surface in 1–5 seconds under the documented lamp conditions.
Key features
- Dual-cure technology: UV light rapidly cures exposed fillets, while moisture curing supports polymerization in small shadow areas.
- Fast tack-free performance: Achieves a tack-free surface in ≤1 second at 150 mW/cm² or ≤5 seconds at 25 mW/cm² using a 405 nm spot LED.
- Reduced bloom and odor: Designed to minimize blooming and improve the finished appearance of transparent or exposed joints.
Applications / Suitable for
- Bonding opaque substrates with exposed adhesive fillets
- Bonding through transparent plastic components
- Automated adhesive dispensing
- Metal and plastic assembly
- Applications requiring rapid UV cure with secondary shadow-area cure
