Product Description
PERMABOND® 4C20 Medical Device Grade Cyanoacrylate Adhesive is a single-component, intermediate-viscosity ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive developed for rapid bonding across small to intermediate gaps. Its 400–600 mPa·s viscosity supports controlled manual or automated dispensing, while a maximum gap fill of 0.25 mm accommodates less tightly fitted components. The adhesive is suitable for plastics, rubber, and metals and typically reaches handling strength in approximately 10 seconds on steel, Buna N rubber, and phenolic. Full strength develops in 24 hours. After cure, it provides high steel shear strength, 85 Shore D hardness, and useful electrical insulation properties.
Key features
- Intermediate viscosity: A viscosity of 400–600 mPa·s supports controlled dispensing and bonding through gaps up to 0.25 mm.
- Fast fixture performance: Typical handling strength is achieved in approximately 10 seconds on steel, Buna N rubber, and phenolic.
- Automated dispensing suitability: The one-part formulation is designed for accurate dosing in high-speed production processes.
Applications / Suitable for
- Medical-device component assembly, subject to application-specific validation
- Automated adhesive dispensing
- Bonding components with small to intermediate gaps
- High-speed industrial assembly
- Bonding plastics, rubber, and metals
