  • 15 to 20-Second Steel Fixture
  • MIL-A-46050C Type V Class 2 Compliance

Product Description

Permabond® 920 Cyanoacrylate is an allyl-based, low-viscosity adhesive explicitly designed to deliver extreme high-temperature resistance alongside rapid, high-strength bonding. This 100% reactive, solvent-free liquid cures quickly at room temperature but features a unique secondary curing mechanism that is activated by heat. When subjected to a proper post-curing schedule at 150°C (302°F), the adhesive forms exceptionally resilient bonds capable of withstanding environmental temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).

Key features

  • Extreme temperature resistance: Secondary thermal curing allows bonded assemblies to reliably withstand continuous temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).
  • Fast setting: Delivers fixture handling times of 15-20 seconds on steel and 10-15 seconds on rubbers and phenolics at room temperature.
  • Medical and military approved: Approved to MIL-A-46050C Type V Class 2 specifications for existing designs and has successfully passed Cytotoxicity testing.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Assemblies exposed to extreme high-temperature environments (up to 250°C after post-cure)
  • Bonding metals, including steel, aluminum, and zinc
  • Medical devices and military applications requiring specific approvals
