- 120 to 150-Minute Working Window
- Metal-to-Wood Epoxy Bonding
Product Description
Permabond® ET540 is a two-part, 2:1 mixable, semi-flexible toughened epoxy adhesive designed to deliver high peel resistance and high shear strength. Formulated with a no-slump, non-drip rheology, it is highly suitable for large gaps and vertical applications across a variety of substrates including wood, metal, ceramics, and many plastics and composites. It offers an extended work life, making it ideal for larger applications that require adjustments during assembly.
Key features
- Non-drip rheology: The thixotropic, no-slump nature of the mixed adhesive makes it perfect for filling large gaps (up to 5 mm) and for use on vertical surfaces without running.
- Extended pot life: Offers a long usable life of 120-150 minutes, providing ample time for the assembly and adjustment of large components.
- High structural strength: Toughened and semi-flexible, it provides excellent impact strength, high peel resistance, and high shear strength across diverse substrates while resisting high temperatures.
Applications / Suitable for
- Large-scale assemblies requiring an extended working time for adjustments
- Vertical applications or assemblies with large gaps (up to 5 mm) requiring a non-slump adhesive
- Structural bonding of metals, wood, ceramics, plastics, and composites
