Main features

  • 1:1 Controlled Mixing
  • 9 to 11-Minute Working Window
  • 24.8 MPa Cured Tensile Strength

Product Description

PLEXUS® MA8110 Methacrylate Adhesive is a two-part, 1:1 methacrylate structural adhesive for direct bonding to many metal substrates, including galvanized G60 and G90 steel, and for selected thermoplastic and composite assemblies. The gray, non-sag mixed adhesive provides a typical 9 to 11 minute working time at 23°C and supports gap-filling bondlines from 0.75 to 9.5 mm. It is documented for limited surface preparation on supported substrates and develops high tensile and lap-shear properties after cure.

Key features

  • Direct-to-metal bonding: The adhesive is documented for primerless bonding to many metals, including galvanized G60 and G90 steel.
  • 9 to 11-minute working time: The documented process window is measured at 23°C.
  • Gap-filling cured bond: The adhesive supports 0.75 to 9.5 mm bondlines with typical tensile strength of 21.4 to 24.8 MPa.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Structural bonding of galvanized and other metal assemblies
  • Selected thermoplastic bonding
  • Composite assembly bonding
