  • UL 94 V-0 flame resistance
  • Electrical insulation performance

Product Description

SYLGARD™ 164 Silicone Elastomer is a two-part, 1:1 mix ratio, gray silicone encapsulant designed for potting and protecting electrical and electronic assemblies. The material combines good flowability, moderate thermal conductivity, flame resistance, and rapid room-temperature or heat-accelerated cure to support efficient manufacturing processes. Once cured, it forms a flexible silicone elastomer suitable for protecting components in power supplies, connectors, sensors, industrial controls, transformers, amplifiers, high-voltage resistor packs, and relay assemblies. Its UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, electrical insulation properties, and broad operating temperature capability make it suitable for demanding electronic encapsulation applications.

Key features

  • 1:1 mix ratio: Supports straightforward automated mixing, dispensing, and process control.
  • UL 94 V-0 flame resistance: Can be considered for applications requiring enhanced flame-retardant performance.
  • Electrical insulation performance: Provides dielectric strength of 19 kV/mm and volume resistivity of 1.1 × 10¹³ ohm·cm.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Power supplies
  • Connectors
  • Sensors
  • Industrial controls
  • Transformers
  • Amplifiers
  • High-voltage resistor packs and relays
