Product Description

SILASTIC™ 3-8186 Thixotropic Foam is a two-part, platinum-cure liquid silicone foam for dispensed-in-place compression gaskets requiring low sealing force. Parts A and B are mixed at a 1:1 ratio by weight, then expand and cure into a medium-density elastomeric foam with moderate heat. Its thixotropic, reduced-flow behavior supports controlled bead placement using robotic or other automated dispensing equipment. The product is intended for sealing automotive components and lighting assemblies and may also be used for outdoor electrical enclosures.
