STYCAST 1266

Main features

  • Low-Viscosity Fine-Gap Impregnation
  • Optically Clear Encapsulation
  • Flexible Ambient or Heat Cure

Product Description

LOCTITE STYCAST 1266 Epoxy Encapsulant is a clear, two-component low-viscosity epoxy system for impregnation and encapsulation where optical clarity and flow into small tolerances are important. Parts A and B mix 100:28 by weight or 100:33 by volume to produce a typical mixed viscosity of 650 cP and a 30-minute working time at 25 deg C. The material can cure at ambient temperature or in one to two hours at 65 deg C, with an optional post-cure. After cure, it provides documented mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and electrical insulation.

Key features

  • Fine-gap impregnation: A typical mixed viscosity of 650 cP supports flow into narrow spaces.
  • Optically clear encapsulation: The clear system supports applications requiring visible components.
  • Flexible cure options: Ambient and heat-cure schedules support different production needs.

Applications

Applications include impregnation and encapsulation of electrical or electronic components, including assemblies with small tolerances and a need for optical clarity.
