STYCAST 2741
Harmonization Code : 3910.00.00.90 | Silicones in Primary Forms; Others

Main features
- Catalyst-Adjusted Cured Flexibility
- Shock- and Impact-Resistant Potting
- Room-Temperature or Accelerated Cure
Product Description
LOCTITE STYCAST 2741 Epoxy Encapsulant is a black, filled two-component system used with CAT 15 for electronic embedment, sealing, and cementing of glass, metals, plastics, and ceramics. Catalyst level controls the cured response, providing rigid, semi-rigid, and flexible options with typical work lives of 120 to 160 minutes at 25 deg C. Room-temperature and accelerated cure schedules support varied production timing. The cured configurations combine adjustable hardness with shock and impact resistance, electrical insulation, and service ranges matched to the selected formulation.
Key features
- Catalyst-adjusted flexibility: CAT 15 loading selects rigid, semi-rigid, or flexible cured behavior.
- Room-temperature cure option: The system cures in 16 to 24 hours at 25 deg C or faster with heat.
- Multi-substrate assembly use: Supported substrates include glass, metals, plastics, and ceramics.
Applications
Applications include electronic embedment and the sealing or cementing of metals, ceramics, and plastics where adjustable flexibility and shock or impact resistance are required.
