Main features
- Low-Viscosity Reinforcement Wet-Out
- Long Processing Pot Life
- High-Temperature Composite Performance
Product Description
ARALDITE MY 721 Epoxy Resin is a clear brown liquid tetrafunctional glycidylamine resin component for high-temperature composite systems. Typical viscosity is 3,000 to 6,000 cP at 50 deg C, with density of 1.15 to 1.18 g/cm^3 at 25 deg C, providing a low-viscosity processing profile for reinforcement wet-out. Used with ARADUR 5200, the resin supports filament winding with long pot life at processing temperatures and high glass-transition temperatures after the specified cure. Applications include aerospace, spacecraft, high-performance composite parts, and industrial composites. Final mechanical and thermal properties remain tied to the selected hardener, formulation, specimen, and cure schedule.
Key features
- Low-viscosity processing profile: Typical viscosity is 3,000 to 6,000 cP at 50 deg C for reinforcement wet-out.
- Long processing pot life: The MY 721/ARADUR 5200 system provides extended working time at processing temperatures.
- High-temperature composite system: The specified formulation develops high glass-transition temperatures after cure.
Applications
Filament winding for aerospace, spacecraft, high-performance composite parts, and industrial composites in specified MY 721 systems.
