Product Description
BONDERITE C-AK 319 is a one-part, strongly alkaline liquid cleaner formulated to prepare aluminum, steel, electrogalvanized, and hot-dip galvanized surfaces for conversion coating or plating. Applied by spray or immersion, it operates over a wide concentration range and a temperature range of 120 to 180 deg F depending on substrate, with steel and galvanized surfaces run hotter than aluminum. Bath makeup is typically 1 to 6 gallons per 100 gallons of working volume. Process equipment may be constructed of mild steel, with 300 series stainless steel spray nozzles and PTFE seals recommended for contact components. The cleaner is intended for use ahead of BONDERITE conversion-coating processes.
