- Multi-Alloy Pickling Compatibility
- Alloy-Tailored Bath Formulation
Product Description
BONDERITE C-IC 4104 AERO is a clear, colorless liquid acidic additive blended into nitric acid and water solutions to enhance the descaling and pickling of stainless steels and heat-resistant alloys, including titanium, by immersion. It is also effective for descaling or pickling cobalt, chrome, nickel, and copper-based alloys. The additive readily mixes with nitric acid at recommended dilutions, and bath compositions can be tailored to the specific alloy being processed. As supplied, the product has a density of 1.09 to 1.11 g/mL and a pH of 4.2 at 1.5 percent dilution in deionized water, and it should be stored between 0 and 40 deg C.
Key features
- Nitric Acid Bath Additive: added to nitric acid and water solutions to enhance descaling and pickling
- Multi-Alloy Descaling and Pickling: effective on stainless steels, heat-resistant alloys, titanium, cobalt, chrome, nickel, and copper-based alloys
- Alloy-Tailored Bath Formulation: solutions can be tailored to specific alloys and readily mix with nitric acid at recommended dilutions
Applications
Immersion descaling and pickling of stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and titanium in nitric-acid baths.
