- Flexible Two-Component Polyurethane System for Electrical
- 6,500 cP Mixed Viscosity
- Shore A 50 Hardness
Product Description
CONATHANE® EN-12 Polyurethane Encapsulant is a two-component, highly flexible polyurethane molding and encapsulation system using EN-4 Part A with EN-12 Part B. The translucent amber system is documented for cable and connector potting, electronic modules, wire-wound devices, strain-sensitive components, and thick-film protection of printed circuitry. It combines low dielectric constant, hydrolytic stability, thermal-shock resistance, and high dielectric strength across a recommended operating range of -65°C to 130°C. Typical initial mixed viscosity is 6,500 cP at 25°C with a 100:95 mix ratio by weight.
Key features
- Highly flexible polyurethane: Typical cured hardness is Shore A 50 with 350% elongation.
- Controlled mixed viscosity: Typical initial mixed viscosity is 6,500 cP at 25°C.
- Electrical and environmental properties: Typical dielectric strength is 600 V/mil with thermal-shock and hydrolytic-stability data.
Applications / Suitable for
- Cable and connector potting and molding
- Electronic modules and wire-wound devices
- Strain-sensitive components and printed circuitry
