Product Description
CONATHANE® TU-8040 Polyurethane Tooling Elastomer is an unfilled, two-component, room-temperature-curing, 100% solids polyurethane system for casting tough, highly extensible elastomeric parts. The light-yellow and light-amber components use a cartridge-friendly 1:1 mix ratio by weight and volume. The system is documented for detailed molds and sound-damping pads and has a typical initial mixed viscosity of 1,700 cP, 30-minute work life, and 60-minute gel time at 25°C. After cure, the material has Shore A 40 hardness, 700 psi tensile strength, and 700% elongation.
