- 4,000 psi Cured Tensile Strength
- 2 ohm-cm Volume Resistivity
Product Description
CONATHANE® TU-901 Polyurethane Encapsulant is a two-component, light-amber polyurethane system for potting and casting applications requiring ultraviolet stability and elastomeric properties. The system is documented for physical durability, chemical and solvent resistance, and electrical insulation. Published product data identify 4,000 cP viscosity, a 16-hour cure at 80°C, and separate specific gravities of 1.04 for Part A and 1.01 for Part B. Typical cured properties include Shore A 90 hardness, 4,000 psi tensile strength, 750% elongation, 580 V/mil dielectric strength, and 7.6 × 10¹² ohm·cm volume resistivity.
Key features
- UV-stable polyurethane: The system is documented for potting and casting where ultraviolet stability is required.
- Strong flexible elastomer: Typical cured data include 4,000 psi tensile strength and 750% elongation.
- Electrical insulation: Typical dielectric strength is 580 V/mil.
Applications / Suitable for
- UV-exposed polyurethane potting
- Elastomeric casting
- Chemical- and solvent-resistant components
