- Flexible Castable Processing
- Elevated-Temperature Electrical Performance
Product Description
LAIRD Eccosorb CFS-8480 is a two-component, magnetically loaded castable silicone rubber for RF absorption in the UHF and lower microwave ranges. The supplier lists a frequency range of 800 MHz to 18 GHz and separately reports typical attenuation values from 600 MHz to 10 GHz. The material can be poured into cavities or painted onto surfaces, with a 1000:9 Part A-to-Part B mix ratio by weight and approximately one hour of pot life. Typical properties include a service temperature below 275°C, dielectric strength of 12 kV/mm, volume resistivity above 1012 ohm-cm, and water absorption below 0.2% after 24 hours.
