- 1,000 psi Lap Shear
Product Description
LOCTITE® EA 9321 AERO is a two-component, thixotropic epoxy paste adhesive for aerospace potting, edge-fill and structural bonding applications. The gray adhesive cures at room temperature and can also be heat cured when a faster process is required. It forms tough, durable bonds and retains useful strength across a broad test-temperature range, with a defined service temperature of approximately 250°F (121°C) based on 1,000 psi (6.9 MPa) lap shear strength. Its paste consistency supports controlled application, while a 40-minute pot life at 77°F (25°C) provides time for mixing, dispensing and assembly.
Key features
- Dual-cure capability: Cures in 5–7 days at 77°F (25°C), with an alternative complete cure of 1 hour at 180°F (82°C).
- Elevated-temperature strength: Provides an approximate service temperature of 250°F (121°C), defined at 1,000 psi (6.9 MPa) lap shear strength.
- Thixotropic paste consistency: Supports controlled placement in potting, edge-fill and structural bonding applications.
Applications / Suitable for
- Aerospace potting
- Edge-fill applications
- Structural bonding
- OEM and maintenance, repair and overhaul applications
