Main features
- Pourable Intermediate-Density Epoxy Syntactic
- Room-Temperature or Heat Cure
- 121 deg C Service Temperature
Product Description
LOCTITE® EA 9807 AERO is a two-part, intermediate-density structural epoxy syntactic potting compound for potting and edge-filling honeycomb assembly parts and repair areas. The purple mixed material has a pourable consistency and a 90-minute pot life for a 100 g mass at 25°C. It cures at room temperature or may be heat cured after a minimum 60-minute ambient gel period. The formulation combines flame-retardant characteristics, controlled exotherm and cured mechanical performance for aerospace honeycomb assembly applications. Its defined service temperature is 121°C (250°F), based on retaining 6.9 MPa (1,000 psi) lap shear strength under ASTM D1002.
Key features
- Pourable syntactic epoxy: Supports controlled placement in potting and edge-fill areas.
- Flexible cure options: Cures in 5 to 7 days at 25°C or may be heat cured after a minimum 60-minute ambient gel period.
- High-temperature capability: Has a defined service temperature of 121°C (250°F) based on ASTM D1002 lap shear performance.
Applications / Suitable for
- Potting honeycomb assembly parts
