LOCTITE EA 9825

Main features

  • Low-Density, One-Component Epoxy Syntactic
  • Up to 350 deg F Service
  • Honeycomb Composite Potting

Product Description

LOCTITE® EA 9825 AERO is a low-density, one-component epoxy syntactic for honeycomb composite parts requiring high compressive strength at temperatures up to 350°F (177°C). The paste material is suitable for localized filling and reinforcement applications where weight and cured compression performance are important. It supports cure schedules at either 250°F (121°C) or 350°F (177°C), allowing integration with different heated aerospace composite processes. Documented uses include fastener or attachment potting and reinforcement of panel edges.

Key features

  • Low-density epoxy syntactic: The cured material has a typical density of 0.72 g/cc.
  • High compressive strength: Supports reinforced honeycomb composite structures and localized potting applications.
  • Dual cure schedules: May be cured at 250°F (121°C) or 350°F (177°C) using the documented thermal profiles.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Honeycomb composite parts
  • Fastener or attachment potting
  • Panel-edge reinforcement
