- Rapid-cure Class B profile
- Lightweight cured specific gravity
- Documented electrical resistivity
Product Description
Royal Sealants WS-8035 Class B Rapid-Cure Lightweight Aerospace Sealant is a two-part rapid-cure lightweight polysulfide sealant for aerospace and space-exploration fuel tank or fuselage assemblies. The Class B system uses controlled base-to-accelerator ratios and provides a B-2 application life of about two hours. Its mixed viscosity supports sealant application before room-temperature cure, while the cured material combines low specific gravity with defined tensile strength, elongation, Shore A hardness, and electrical resistivity. Documented final-state data also include intermittent temperature exposure up to 360 deg F.
Key features
- Rapid-cure Class B system: Provides an approximately two-hour B-2 application life
- Lightweight cured sealant: Limits cured specific gravity to 1.1
- Defined electrical behavior: Provides documented cured volume resistivity
Applications
Aerospace and space-exploration fuel tank or fuselage sealing where the documented WS-8035 Class B process and qualification scope apply.
